This Privacy Policy explains how TARIK KOCYIGIT (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PetJive iOS app and related services. PetJive is an entertainment app that turns a pet photo and an animal template into a short AI video. It is not a medical, veterinary, or family-care product.

1. Who is responsible

The controller is TARIK KOCYIGIT, the developer of PetJive. Privacy questions: [email protected].

2. Information we collect

• Account. A device identifier and guest account identifier used to create or restore your account automatically. The device identifier and authentication credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. No email address, password, or verification code is required to sign in.
• Pet media. Photos you upload to create videos, and template media we host (cover images, video, audio). Uploads are stored in object storage and shown through a CDN URL.
• Generated jobs. The template you chose, the credit cost at that time, the source image URL, job status, and the result video URL when generation completes. Videos for accounts without an active membership may include a watermark.
• Purchases and wallet. Credit balance, membership expiry, App Store product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and order records needed to grant membership or credit packs and to avoid granting the same purchase twice. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card number.
• Invites. Your invite code and, if you enter someone else’s code, the link between those accounts and any credit ledger entries from that reward.
• Notifications. Your in-app notification preferences and generation-status updates. The app receives updates while it is in the foreground through an authenticated server-sent events connection; it does not use iOS background push notifications.
• Support and safety. Information you choose to send to support, including your contact email, feedback text, and attached images. A report includes the selected report reason and relevant template identifier.

We do not ask for your phone number, contacts, precise location, health data, or access to photos other than those you choose to provide. We do not retain GPS coordinates or other embedded photo metadata. Our application servers do not retain user IP addresses, error logs, or performance logs.

3. How we use information

• Create and authenticate your guest account automatically using its device identifier.
• Generate AI videos from the photo and template you select, deduct credits, and show results.
• Validate App Store purchases, keep membership and credit balances correct, and adjust entitlements if Apple confirms expiration, a refund, or revocation. Turning off auto-renewal does not by itself remove the remaining paid membership period.
• Apply invite rewards you choose to use, and grant configured new-user or membership credits.
• Show in-app updates about video-generation status and purchases while the app is in the foreground.
• Respond to support requests, moderate abuse, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

4. AI generation

To create a video, we process the pet image (or its URL) and template context using a self-deployed AI model based on Qwen in our server environment. Generation is not performed only on your device. The AI generation process is automatic: it does not retain an additional copy of the photo after processing, does not involve manual review of the photo, and does not use submitted photos to train or improve AI models. Storage of uploaded source photos and generated videos by the PetJive service is separate from this AI processing and is described below. Do not upload a photo you are not allowed to share with us and our processors. Output quality, uniqueness, and availability are not guaranteed.

5. Sharing

We share information with processors who help us run PetJive, including:

• Apple, for App Store purchases and subscription status notifications.
• Cloud storage and content-delivery providers, for storing uploaded files and delivering photos and videos.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect users, the service, or others.

6. Retention

• Account data stays until you delete the account or we close it for cause.
• You can request account deletion in the app. After the server confirms deletion, the app clears the matching guest sign-in credentials and cached account profile. Purchase and credit ledger rows may be kept for accounting, chargebacks, and fraud review.
• Backups may be updated separately from live account records. Local media caches and purchase-recovery records are managed separately from active account credentials.

7. Your choices

You can update in-app notification preferences, change camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings, and request account deletion in the app. You can decline an invite code. To request access or deletion beyond in-app controls, email [email protected]. Apple subscription management is available in your Apple Account settings. Deleting your PetJive account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

8. Children

PetJive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International processing

Servers and processors may be in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. If you use PetJive from another country, your information may be processed outside your home country.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

11. Photo Metadata and Server Logs

PetJive does not retain GPS coordinates or other embedded photo metadata. Our application servers do not retain user IP addresses, error logs, or performance logs. AI Processing PetJive uses a self-deployed AI model based on Qwen to process the photos you submit and generate the videos you request. Processing takes place in our server environment. We do not send your photos to third-party hosted AI APIs. The AI processing component does not retain photos after generation. Photos submitted for generation are processed automatically, are not manually reviewed as part of AI generation, and are not used to train or improve AI models. Storage and deletion of uploaded source photos and generated videos by the PetJive service are described in the Retention and Account Deletion section of this policy.
